Why does my heart
Begin to race
Whenever I hear
The soothing tone
Of your voice
As you whisper softly
In my ear the words
I most long to hear
Those words that are
Engraved upon my heart
Why do I find myself
Blushing when I see
Your smiling face
Which is filled
With such grace
And the way you
Gaze at me with
Those captivating eyes
Why do I think about you
Of every minute of the day
How I constantly worry about you
And if you're doing okay
Why do I let myself
Get swept away by you
These emotions that
Well up inside of me
Are something I just
Can't ignore any more
Why does my body
Tremble from your touch
How I yearn for your
Gentle hands to caress me
As they map out every inch of my body
Letting me know that I belong to you
Why do I love so much
How did it come to this
That you would be the one
Who would show me
What it truly means to love
You who treats me like a precious jewel
It's as though I'm your whole world
